Shoalhaven Solar Panel Installation
Shoalhaven Hot Water is a Clean Energy Council Accredited Installer and we have helped many homeowners harness solar energy to power their homes. With the cost of electricity rising each year, many homeowners are seeking long-term alternatives to reduce their energy bills. Solar Energy is a great alternative to drawing power from the electricity grid, saves the homeowners substantially in the long run and benefits the environment. Solar power systems utilise clean, pure energy from the sun. Installing solar panels on your home helps battle greenhouse gas emissions and reduce our shared dependence on fossil fuel.
How solar power works
- Sun shines on the solar panels generating DC electricity
- The DC electricity is fed into a solar inverter that converts it to 240V 50Hz AC electricity.
- The 240V AC electricity is then used to power appliances in your home.
- Superfluous electricity is fed back into the main grid.
When solar cells are not producing power, for example at night, the mains power grid supplies your power as usual.
Rebates are available and make purchasing solar products even more affordable! Certain systems have certain amounts of points (STC- Small scale Trading Certificate) or allocated to them. For example, a 4kW PV system has 71 STC points applied to it. Depending on how many points your system has will depend on your rebate. We offer rebate calculation as a point of sale discount. If you have any questions about the process or what the rebates mean for you, talk to one of our solar experts.
A Solar Power system makes it possible for you to generate your own electricity. Solar Power products and solutions make it possible to easily use this electricity to power your home: for electric appliances, heaters, heat pump, lighting or charging your electric car. With a storage system, you can benefit from solar power even when the sun isn’t shining. We are also a Clean Energy Council Approved Installer, which means your solar PV installations will be eligible for government incentives such as Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) and feed-in tariffs, and our knowledge and services are up-to-date on the latest changes in the industry.’ at the end of the first paragraph ending in ‘the mains power grid supplies your power as usual.
